This Sabbath evening I began reading History of the Sabbath by J.N. Andrews, a facsimile reproduction of the 1887 third edition. It is the first in a group of Sabbath-related books I picked up earlier this week at the Potomac Adventist Book Center for a mixture of pleasure reading and research material.
Thus far, I have only managed to read the Preface and already I am amazed at the clarity, candor, and depth. I have decided to share with you the Preface and to reproduce it exactly as it appeared in the 1887 3rd Edition.
